Wendy Andreu

Wendy Andreu’s pieces revolve around the artisanal scale of materials and the numerous ways of shaping them.. She questions the ways in which we design waste materials. She mainly works with industrial materials. Here she presents an a series of vases made during her residency at the Cirva (International Glass and Visual Arts Research Centre) in Marseille, where she has been researching glass moulding and casting for the past year and a half. Wendy Andreu is a craft designer who aims to communicate through the material she uses. By experimenting with them, she finds surprising outcomes that can be translated into functional design proposals
